This Quarter's Charity Partner is: The Appalachian Trail Conservancy
Approximately 290 Miles of the Appalachian Trail runs along the Tennessee/North Carolina border. This historic trail route draws hundreds of thousands of hikers each year and this tourism provides revenue to towns that are used for resupply and lodging. Many of these towns were damaged during Hurricane Helene and the ATC is assisting them in their recovery efforts. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy protects this natural resource through the maintenance of paths, removal of invasive species, and forest management. It is a beautiful resource that must be preserved for future generations and the ATC is doing great work to care for it.
